BILL AND MELINDA GATES NEW HOME IN WELLINGTON, FLORIDA




Soon moving in to the equestrian-happy pastoral Wellington enclave of Mallet Hill, the family will be living in a four bedroom, four bath 7234 sq ft $8.7MM property.
  




Built in 2010, the Spanish-style home features custom English cabinetry, 10-foot mahogany front doors and a poolside built in grill.









A 20-stall barn and show jumping training grounds are also features of this 4.8 property.  Cost was reported to be $8.7MM cash.







Having rented for two years in the area, a desire fueled by daughter Jennifer's pursuit of show jumper training, note that these photos were probably taken before the purchase.
The Homeowners Association has been approached to replace the enclave's unmanned gate to a gate manned 24/7.





Bill Gates is reported the be the second richest American with a current net worth of $67BB.  The Gates foundation has done a great deal of charitable work across the globe.

Just sold for $35MM to Yahoo! CEO (former long-time executive and key spokesperson for Google) and her husband, a venture capitalist, the 1922 Tudor-style house is on “Billionaires Row,” in Pacific Heights, with neighbors including Oracle founder Larry Ellison, Zynga founder March Pincus and oil tycoon Gordon Getty.  The area is home to the technology industry.





Note the handcrafted mill work and hardwood floors.  There are leaded glass windows and heavy duty moldings.  There are spectacular views of San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge.  Within the 11,000 sq ft four story house are 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms.  


Outside is a heated swimming pool. 




The living room is “ballroom sized.”  There are 5 fireplaces



2 kitchens, a 4-car garage, wine cellar, elevator and fabulous views of the Golden Gate Bridge. 



Dining room has a wall covered with purple and gold marquees that they had made for the tabletops at their wedding, with words such as peppermint, colors, Paris and Etro, some of their favorite “things.”
