For an afternoon of fun and a chance to learn the history of West Palm Beach while riding in a comfortable, colorful trolley, take a one-hour Historic Trolley Tour. Tour beings at the Richard and Pat Johnson Historic Museum, 300 No. Dixie Highway, corner of 3rd Street in West Palm Beach. Reserve by calling 561-833-8873.
See historic downtown buildings and landmarks. Tour guide is plays a West Palm Beach native who is engaged to a serviceman in the 1945 era as WW2 is ending. She is dressed in VIntage garb and tells a tale or two about the city's pioneer days.
Tours are given Saturdays through April 21 at 11:30 am and 12:30 pm, Fridays at 3 and 4 pm. Adults fee is $5, children 10 and under ride free.
Included in the tour is the Clematis District's vibrant development and distinctive architectural styles, covering from the early 1900's to the real estate boom of the 1920's, to today's continued revitalization.
